But all that's about to change. Planet Plymouth is the world's first online project dedicated to identifying, cataloguing and linking every town, city and province around the world that shares our illustrious name.
Plymouth is unsusual because there are so many places named after it spread right across the globe, from the original Plymouth in Devon, England to the furthest-flung one in Taranaki Province, New Zealand.
The Planet Plymouth Project is about bringing together all the different Plymouths from around the world. For the first time, we are going to identify every one and link us all through InPlymouth.com.
